FAQ

Who should and should not attend?

In relation to the pre-enrolment of food business staff for this course, SAFE HAND FOODTECH CONSULTANTS (SFC) requests that the Management of the Food Business considers the following issues:

1) The course involves an end of the course written test, that the participants have to qualify in order to get the Certificate. It is a pre-requisite that the participants have basic English reading, writing and comprehension skills.

2) Those who may not gain any benefit from attending this course, such as maintenance or cleaning staff, OR those who have undergone previous training, need not be enrolled for this course.

3) Please do not enrol a staff member without first discussing the matter with the person. Only staff who expresses an interest in attending the course should attend (as a person who doesn't want to be there may be disruptive and resentful).

4) Finally, please remember that the course is over in one day and that absence from work for (those staff) attending for virtually the whole day represents a cost - and possibly an inconvenience - to the food business. Whole planning participation in this course, Management is urged to carefully review and consider staffing rosters, personal commitments and the impact that any special event(s) may have on the business, on the day of attendance.
